Narrow is the way!

March 31, 2023

Feeling good and living simply as we continue our somewhat purposeful meander South. We left late morning Thursday March 30th after an evening with family filled with reminiscing and story telling and maybe a bourbon or two thanks to cousin Joel.

Under a dusting of new fallen snow after a precious visit with beloved family, we set the navigation system in the RIVIAN for our next destination ~ Gettysburg.

Leaving Spafford, NY along Rt 41 through Scott.

We are reminded of our friends that are like family and smile and chuckle with loving memories.

Many know the story behind our Carbon Zero RIVIAN Venture, and for those of you who would like to know more here is the url address to the Pancreatic Cancer Network Organization ~ hopeful that these digits will get you to the story of Rob and Scotty. [still experiencing an uphill learning curve here, thanks for bearing with me] https://secure.pancan.org/site/TR/DIY/DIYTeamraisers?px=3394012&pg=personal&fr_id=2442

Last night we were able to secure a remote campsite along the Appalachian Trail in time to set up camp at sunset, build a fire, roast hotdogs and toast our successes so far in raising over $16,000 for PanCan.

Sunrise after a chilly but comfy sleep
Morning hike headed North on the Appalachian Trail

Calling it a day after our late afternoon arrival in Gettysburg, with over 600 miles in total so far.
Keeping the rubber side down,

Julie and Rob

post script to address the title of today’s entry ~ the roads through Pennsylvania Dutch country ~ nuff said
